Assistant Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at Monte Vista Middle School. My name is Mrs. Burchell and I am happy to return to Monte Vista for my third year as Asst. Principal. I am excited to be back after a long and restful summer and ready to take on the new challenges of this school year. Each year at Monte Vista, we strive for academic excellence while we continue to support the social growth and maturity of our students. We will begin the year with a few new assemblies for students to introduce them to the culture of our school and hopefully provide them with important information to maximize their success at Monte Vista as well. I feel very strongly that communication between home and school is one of the key factors in students' success at this level. Please contact me and/or your child's counselor at any time with concerns that may affect your student's ability to thrive on our campus. Thanks for being a part of the Monte Vista Family.

Bienvenidos al año escolar 2009-2010 de Monte Vista. Soy la Sra. Burchell y estoy feliz volver a Monte Vista para mi tercer año como subdirectora de esta escuela. Estoy emocionada regresar de unas vacaciones largas y relajadas y estoy lista para los desafíos nuevos de este año. Cada año en Monte Vista, nos esfuerzamos para excelencia académica mientras continuamos apoyar el crecimiento social y madurez de nuestros estudiantes. Empezaremos el año escolar con unas asembleas nuevas para introducirles a los estudiantes a la cultura de nuestra escuela y ojalá proveerles con información importante para llevar al máximo su éxito en Monte Vista también. Me siento fuerte que la comunicación entre los padres y la escuela es uno de los factores esenciales para el éxito de los estudiantes en este nivel. Favor de contactarme y/o el/la consejero/a de su hijo/a en cualquier momento en que Ud. tenga preocupaciones que puede afectar su habilidad de prosperar.
