We have had a wonderful first trimester here at Los Primeros. We are very excited to report that we have implemented many areas of our five year plan. Our K-5 students have had the opportunity to experience their first part of their elective wheel selecting the classes they are interested in exploring in the sciences and arts. We also have had three specialists teaching art, lab science and music once a week for our students.
At lunchtime our students are able to participate in lunchtime activities including intramurals, art and karaoke! Our PTO raised money thanks to all of our parents support that totaled over $30,000 this year to continue these programs. We have had a K-1 music program with Ms. Copsey, a K,1, and Mr. D's class had music productions with performances the beginning of November. We look forward to the students starting their new mini courses and continue to provide our students with our yearly musical, "Guys and Dolls,Jr." sponsored by the Foundation. We are making this school our own as we have new middle school tables and benches, new benches in the front of the school, new mural at our entrance and have planted over $2000 in plants around the school. Our Builder's Club has been collecting food and toys for our own families that need support this holiday season.
We also are recycling our cans and plastics using all of our new recycle containers. We have implemented our Character Education program with words of the month, monthly assemblies and character bookmarks. We care about each other and our world!
Our flag ceremony celebrated Veterans' Day and we were all proud to be an American here at Los Primeros! We honored over a dozen of our families and community members. It was very special!
Our students are winning contests, congratulation Robotics Team, Essay Winners, and Art Winners! We have development benchmarks as a staff, are working our our essential standards, creating and updating our goals and moving in positive, energetic direction! I am proud to be the principal of this very fine school! Los Primeros is truly a great place to work and learn! We are all life long learners and continue to change and grow each day here on this lovely campus!
I would like to take this time to thank the Los Primeros Family, staff, parents and students, for all of your dedication and hardwork to make sure we are providing our students with every avenue of learning and supporting the whole child in the process. We look forward to the continued program improvements and collaboration between our entire school community.
